Against Gift Up, Bronora’s platform fee is €98 a year lower on these numbers, before card processing.

Platform fees only. Stripe or other card processing is excluded for every provider, because each merchant pays it separately on all three. Gift Up’s USD 0.50 minimum is converted at about €0.43. Estimates from public prices, not quotes; introductory offers, prepaid bundles and individual contracts can change the result.

How the estimate works

Bronora’s fee is 3% of each completed voucher sale. Gift Up’s is 3.49% per gift card, or USD 0.50 if that is more, so the calculator works out how many vouchers you sell from your average value. VoucherCart’s commission starts at 4%, and its monthly subscription is added separately because the euro price is not published.

The result is a platform-fee estimate, not a quote. Prices change, some providers offer volume discounts or negotiated rates, and taxes may apply. Check each provider’s current terms before deciding.

What the numbers include.

Does the calculator include Stripe or card processing fees?

No. Bronora, Gift Up and VoucherCart all leave card processing to the merchant’s own payment account, so it is excluded from every figure. Stripe’s published rate for standard EEA cards in Ireland is 1.5% plus €0.25, but your own rate can differ.

How much cheaper is Bronora than Gift Up?

Gift Up charges 3.49% per gift card sold, with a USD 0.50 minimum, and Bronora charges 3%. The gap is 0.49 percentage points, or about €0.25 on a €50 voucher. On small vouchers Gift Up’s minimum widens the gap; Gift Up’s prepaid bundles can narrow or reverse it.

Why is VoucherCart’s monthly subscription not in the total?

VoucherCart charges commission from 4% plus a monthly subscription that varies by country. Its pricing page lists £25 and £75 monthly plans, but a euro price for Irish businesses was not published on the pages reviewed, so the calculator shows the commission only.

Why is GiftPro not in the calculator?

GiftPro does not publish its commission rate. It agrees a rate with each business based on projected sales and the number of venues, so there is no public figure to calculate with.

Does Bronora charge a monthly or setup fee?

No. Self-service has no setup or monthly fee. Bronora charges 3% when a voucher sells and adds no fee to the customer’s checkout. The first ten Irish merchants accepted into the introductory offer pay 1.5% for 90 days from their accepted secure setup request, then 3%.
